Senior Project Geoscientist at Weston Solutions Of Michigan Inc in West Chester, PA
The Senior Geoscientist is responsible for providing technical direction to staff leading field work and coordinating technical activities on assigned projects within his/her discipline. A Senior Geoscientist may also be responsible for selected duties of a Section Manager, Project Manager, or Technical Manager. Expected Outcomes Develop and ensure compliance with technical project specifications and standard operating procedures not clearly defined in the project work scope. Plan, prepare and execute projects. Lead field teams at project sites. Complete assigned projects on schedule and within budget to the satisfaction of the client and the project management team. Work with senior staff in developing appropriate project scopes, budgets, and schedules for proposals and projects. Monitor financial project performance, including the performance of subcontractors, when assigned the responsibility of task or project leader. Develop specifications and procure subcontractors in coordination with the Project Manager. Lead project discussions with clients, regulators, and project team. Prepare reports and correspondence and develop conclusions and recommendations. Supervise day to day activities of staff on assigned projects including delegation of technical tasks. Provide formal training to staff and informal training on an as needed basis. Solve technical problems on projects or seek assistance from senior staff. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Bachelor's Degree plus seven (7) years of related experience, or Master's Degree plus five (5) years of related experience, or Doctoral Degree plus four (4) years of related experience. Two years of experience in report preparation. Professional registration or certification is preferred for all Senior Geoscientists. Demonstrate technical competence and willingness to instruct junior staff in areas of specialization. Demonstrate ability to plan, organize, manage, and lead integrated project teams in field work and project execution. Ability to perform field work. Demonstrate ability to communicate effectively. Demonstrate ability to interact with clients.
Salary Range:
$80K -- $100K
