You will be working along side a Behavior Specialst 2:
1 to spend time outside, hiking, shopping, going out for lunch, visiting museums, art festivals and enjoying all the social and daily living skills in their home and in the community.
This is a families home that is fiscally managed by Palco.
Person needs monitoring with changing at the local gym and a person to join her in swimming and interaction is a must.
The client loves to spend time talking and spending time with individuals who are up on social events in the area and enjoys other people.
Palco funds the services as the Fiscal Agent they are not the employer of record.
They process paycheck only.
This job is for a disabled person in a private resident.
Palco is the contractor that supplies Pennsylvania State and Federal Waivers for persons with disabilities.
The position is for Enhanced Habilitation and is a direct care service for an individual with a developmental disability.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Provide quality assistance and teaching to a Young Adult in community (lots of time hiking, visiting parks, shopping) and at home.
Taking client to her preferred locations is a must.
Following her schedule.
Assist with communication, social, adaptive, and vocational skills.
Follow the behavioral skill acquisition and behavior reduction protocols.
Collect, record, and summarize data on observable client behavior.
Maintain objective daily session notes.
Follow a Individualized Service Plan and e with the client's individualized treatment.
Maintain effective communication with team members and supervisors.
Communicate with parents and caregivers regarding client progress as instructed by the Board Certified Behavior Analyst.
Assist Behavior Analysts with skill acquisition and behavior reduction assessments.
Assist Behavior Analysts with preparing client materials as instructed.
Maintain client confidentiality.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized living and work environment.
Basic & Physical Requirements:
Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds.
Must be a U.
S.
Citizen.
Must be able to lift and carry client's outing essentials, cooler, food and medicine.
Must be able to assume and maintain a variety of postures (kneeling, squatting, crawling, sitting, standing) for extended periods of time.
Must be able to walk up to 2 miles a day when needed, sit on the floor or stand for extended periods of time.
Must have manual dexterity to perform specific computer and electronic device functions.
Must be physical present at the assigned job location, which may include home, and community placements.
Must be able to receive detailed information through oral communication.
Must have reliable transportation.
Must have a valid Driver's license and insurance in good standing.
Must be willing to swim in a pool and or recreational.

With a College Degree listed below, at least one year working with individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorders or related developmental disabilities in a classroom/group or 1:
1 setting and utilizing the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis.
Preferred:
At least two years of experience as a Behavioral Technician/ABA Therapist, RBT or other certification or license.
Education Requirements:
Required:
Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Education, Special Education, Counseling, Social Work, Gerontology, or have a Bachelor degree and have a your certification for as a Registered Behavior Technician.
Preferred:
Coursework in Applied Behavior Analysis and interest in pursuing certification in the field of ABA or (RBT) Registered Behavior Technician.
Enhanced levels of service are based on the participant's behavioral or medical support needs.
Effective 1/1/18, at least one staff person must have one of the following certifications or degrees to provide enhanced levels of service to participants who do not require a nurse to provide the enhanced level of service:
NADD Competency Based Clinical Certification.
NADD Competency-Based Dual Diagnosis Certification.
NADD Competency-Based Direct-Support Professional Certification.
Registered Behavior Technician.
Certified Nursing Assistant.
Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst.
Bachelor's Degree or higher in Psychology, Education, Special Education, Counseling, Social Work or Gerontology.
