Project Manager (Structural Bridge)

A leading Heavy Civil Construction Company in Southeastern PA is looking for an experienced Bridge Project Manager to manage a bridge and interchange reconstruction project in the Lehigh Valley/Berks County Line area! They would oversee the rehabilitation bridge project and interchange. Work includes highway work including widening and asphalt joint repair on highway, milling and paving, drainage improvements, traffic signal improvements and bridge work including overseeing the maintenance, structural repairs, demolition if needed and upgrades of the bridge.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities



  • A thorough understanding of the construction/bridge/highway industry, including knowledge of local construction methods, safety, materials, and local regulations.


  • The Bridge Project Manager manages multiple projects from start to finish including scheduling, budget, monitoring cost, safety, crew, and interacts and communicates with the clients, engineers, contractors, and suppliers.
  • Develop and maintain project budgets and schedules.
  • Experience with PennDOT.


  • Ability to read and interpret civil, structural, and architectural plans and specifications.
  • Strong understanding of construction codes, regulations and safety standards.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards.
  • Visit job sites as needed.

Required Skills, Education, and Experience



  • A civil or structural engineering or project management degree is a plus but will take experience if you don't have the degrees.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management in bridge and highway construction projects.
  • Proficiency in Heavy Job (Project Management) software a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to lead a team.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, self-motivated, work independently and attention to detail.
