We do this by providing Outstanding Customer Service that surpasses that of any other fitness club, large or small. acac''s six Fitness & Wellness Centers, located in two states, are privately owned and professionally-managed facilities that offer its members individually-tailored health and wellness services. Our comprehensive state-of-the-art facilities consist of world class fitness systems complemented by vast aquatics areas, extensive group exercise classes, strength training and mind/body programs, on-site cafes, and children fitness and learning programs. acac''s commitment to it members is promoted by an ongoing professional development and safety training program for all acac team members. We are now looking to add an Aquatics Lifeguard to our team.
The acac Lifeguard is responsible for ensuring the safety of all pool participants and protecting them from harm, the safe and clean operation of indoor and outdoor pools and deck areas, and exhibiting outstanding customer service and communication skills. The Lifeguard reports directly to the Lifeguard Supervisor and/or Aquatics Director.
The following is a representative list of duties and responsibilities associated with this position:
o Maintain current CPR, AED and first aid certifications together with base level certifications i.e. PR, LGT, FA and provide proof of same
o Arrive to work in a timely manner to ensure that aquatics areas are in good running order and that you are at the stand as scheduled
o Be in proper uniform at all times while at work and always present the acac brand and standard anytime and anywhere the acac uniform is worn
o Maintain an alert and professional appearance on the stand, sitting straight with lifeguard assist, at all times
o Enforce policies, communicate and/or initiate interactions in an effective manner that builds relationships and understanding
o Maintain and repair aquatic equipment efficiently as directed. This includes safety equipment, exercise equipment, cleaning supplies and aquatic equipment
o Complete daily cleaning tasks as directed
o Ensure ongoing familiarity with all acac programs to manage questions and communicate knowledgeably on acac business
o Deliver outstanding service to our guests with friendliness, direct eye contact, a pleasant demeanor at all times, a demonstrated ability to anticipate the needs of others, a demonstrated willingness to assist as neededEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
