Transportation Assistant

This position will work out of our West Chester, PA and Tredyffrin Eastown locations.
Position
Summary:
The Transportation Assistant assists the Operations Manager with daily transportation functions including resourcing and monitoring, completion of paperwork, and addressing employee and passenger relations issues within the framework of the company's Operations Excellence Program.
Essential Duties &
Responsibilities:
Assist the Operations Manager with daily transportation functions including resourcing, monitoring, dispatching substitutes, and contract compliance
Maintain regular contact with school district personnel
Serve as liaison between drivers and school administrators, parents, and students
As first level contact with employees assist with issue resolution, payroll tracking and reporting of data
Provide support to Operations Manager with driver performance issues
Assist with monthly charges and invoices for the school district
Compile and data enter required information into the Run Master spreadsheet as required
Insure immediate response to accidents/injuries and follow company accident procedures including compliance with Krapf Workers Compensation Program as backup to Safety/Operations Manager
Assist with maintaining bus schedule and school calendar changes
Compile data for the Driver Bonus program
Maintain driver, lot, snow call, phone and address lists
Collect monthly and semi-annual driver mileage surveys
Track and reports attendance and coverage of all extra runs
Assist with coordination of trips and special events including data entry as needed
Provide general office support and other work-related duties as assigned
Perform the duties of Dispatcher as needed
Perform the job of a School Bus Driver as needed
Qualifications:

High School diploma or equivalent; or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Deep geographical knowledge of districts and surrounding communities including routes, stops, schools and roadways
Computer literacy - knowledge of database software; Internet software; spreadsheet software and word processing software
Clear written and verbal communication skills
Good organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to exhibit a positive attitude and be able to handle difficult situations professionally and in a non-confrontational manner being firm, fair and consistent
Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including weekends
Must possess a valid commercial driver's license with a passenger endorsement or willingness to obtain one
Maintain a valid driver's license and physical exam certifications as requiredEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
