Vehicle Description For Plymouth, 1971 opened up a whole new world for the marque's B-body performance cars as the boxy lines of the previous decade gave way to a streamlined styling that was deemed textbook for the 1970s.
Thanks to wind-tunnel development, Richard Petty would dominate the NASCAR series with this model that year.
Being one of only 28 4-Speed Hemi Road Runners produced for 1971, this special Mopar, with its instantly recognized cartoon character name and Beep-Beep horn, is unique in other ways as well.
Due to changes in emissions and insurance rates, it would be the final year for Hemi production, and this car carries forward the theme of bad boy in its factory TX9 Formal Black-on-black color combination accented by the over-the-top (roof, actually) white factory strobe stripe.
This car has been given a comprehensive restoration and is documented with two original broadcast sheets and an accompanying Dave Wise research report.
